DECISION REGARDING THE SUSPENSION OF EXECUTION AND BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS

 The Decision No.2279 regarding the Suspension of Execution and Bankruptcy Proceedings (in Turkish, “İcra ve İflas Takiplerinin Durdurulması Hakkında Karar”) has come into force by being published in the Official Gazette dated 22 March 2020. 

As a result of this Decision, as of 22 March 2020, all execution and bankruptcy proceedings (in Turkish, “icra ve iflas takipleri”), including the new ones to be started, have been suspended until April 30, 2020. 

The only exception for this suspension is the execution proceedings related to the alimony receivables (in Turkish, “nafaka alacakları”). 

As per the same Decision, the cautionary attachments (in Turkish, “ihtiyati haciz”) shall be not be enforced until that date.
