Implementation of On-line MERSIS Application System for the Registration to Trade Registry

As we have informed you in our previous Newsletters, the application to the Trade registry offices for registration of the resolutions shall be made on-line through MERSIS system.

After entering the MERSIS system, it is possible to reach all the information registered regarding the Company. In some cases, there may be some deficiencies or errors in the transfer of information made by the Ministry of Trade during the transition to the electronic system. In this case, correction can be claimed by sending an e-mail to mersis@ito.org.tr ; usually the reply is received within a short time.

Subsequent to the transition to the Mersis online application system, it is not possible anymore to appoint a person who has been elected as a manager in a Limited Liability Company or as a director in a Joint Stock Company with the powers to represent and bind the company without any limitation, at the same time as a limited authorized signatory according to the internal directive.

The Trade Registry Office verifies whether or not the information and the documents uploaded to Mersis online system are in compliance with the original documents submitted to the Trade Registry Office. Depending on the workload of Trade Registry Office, registration generally takes between 2 to 7 business days.
