REQUIREMENT OF WEARING MASK INDOORS EXCEPT ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND IN HEALTH INSTITUTIONS HAVE ENDED IN TURKEY
As mentioned in our Newsletter dated 3 March 2022, the Ministry of Health and the Coronavirus Science Committee discussed Covid-19 restrictions and the obligation of wearing masks outdoors was abolished. Following the positive developments in the pandemic process that have been observed, the Coronavirus Science Committee provided its recommendations on 26 April 2022.
It was evaluated that the following the rearrangements under Covid-19 restrictions will be upheld:
It is no longer mandatory to wear masks indoors, except for;
- Travelling on public transportation; and
- Entering in health institutions
We kindly inform you that, even though it is no longer mandatory to wear masks indoors, the Committee recommends to people who are above 65 years old and have serious health problems to wear masks indoors.
