STANDARD CONTRACTS REGARDING TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA ABROAD PUBLISHED IN ENGLISH
We refer to our Newsletter dated 12 July 2024 which informed you that the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Transfer of Personal Data Abroad (the “Regulation”) was published in the Official Gazette numbered 32598 and dated 10 July 2024 and that the Regulation came into force as of its publishing date.
Additionally, we informed that the Personal Data Protection Authority (the “Authority”) announced the standard contracts (in Turkish,“standart sözleşmeler”), binding corporate rules application forms (in Turkish, “bağlayıcı şirket kuralları başvuru formu”) and supplementary guideline (in Turkish, “yardımcı kılavuz”).
On 29 August 2024, the Authority published on its official website the translations in English of:
- the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Transfer of Personal Data Abroad (in Turkish, “Kişisel Verilerin Yurt Dışına Aktarılmasına İlişkin Usul ve Esaslar Hakkında Yönetmelik”)
and
- the standard contracts.
