UPCOMING DEADLINE FOR THE PERMIT OF STORES FOR OPERATING ON NATIONAL HOLIDAYS

In accordance with Article 2 of Law numbered 2429 on National and Public Holidays, it is mandatory for workplaces to close on October 29.

The authorised signatories of the workplaces shall submit a formal petition to the Licensing and Inspection Department of the relevant Municipality in order to continue operations for 1.5 days during the National Holiday (beginning at 1:00 p.m. on October 28 and covering the entire day of October 29). This petition is related to a “Permit for Operating on National Holidays,” (in Turkish, “Tatil Günleri Çalışma İzni“) which must be kept at the workplace for the duration of the National Holiday.

This permit requirement applies to all workplaces, including stores and production facilities.
