EXTENSION OF THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR SOCIAL SECURITY INSTITUTION ELECTRONIC NOTIFICATION AND FORM OF APPLICATION

As we previously informed you with our Newsletter titled “New Regulation Regarding the Notifications to be Served Electronically to the Employers by the Social Security Institution” dated 8 October 2021, with the Regulation on the Notifications To Be Served Electronically By The Social Security Institution (“SSI”) (in Turkish, “Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumunca Elektronik Ortamda Yapılacak Tebligata İlişkin Yönetmelik”) (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”), introduced the notification period that was regulated the documents required to be notified by the SSI would be notified to the addresses in electronic environment in accordance with the Regulation.

The deadline for application was initially determined as 31 December 2021.

Thereafter, the SSI has published an announcement on 11 December 2021 regarding theextension of the application period. Accordingly, the SSI e-notification application deadline has been postponed to 31 January 2022.

Hence, all legal entity employers to whom notifications shall be served electronically, are obliged to obtain an electronic notification address and to that end shall make an application until 31 January 2022 through the system determined by the SSI, as follows.

Pursuant to the Circular regarding the Notifications to be made in Electronic Environment by the Social Security Institution (in Turkish “Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumunca Elektronik Ortamda Yapılacak Tebligat İşlemleri Hakkında Genelge”) published by the SSI on 10 December 2021;

  • Legal entity employers shall apply via e-Government (in Turkish “e-Devlet”) website to obtain electronic notification address.
  • Those defined as director/ manager/ legal representative of the legal entity in MERSIS or SSI Workplace Registration Record shall make the applications through the « Legal Entity » section.
  • Tax Identification Number of the legal entity will be taken as the basis for the applications throughout the e-Notification transactions.
