EXTENSION OF THE APPLICATION PERIOD FOR THE SHORT-TIME WORK ALLOWANCE

As per the Presidential Decision dated 30 November 2020 and numbered 3238, the application period for the short-term work allowance (in Turkish “Kısa Çalışma Ödeneği”) had been extended.

In this respect, the workplaces requesting short-time work for the period after 1 December 2020 due to Covid-19, shall submit their applications to the Employment Agency “ISKUR” until the date of 31 December 2020.

Kindly note that, the payments made within the scope of this Decision are not deducted from the duration of the unemployment allowance determined initially.

Due to current circumstances, we note that there are many applications submitted to “ISKUR”. Therefore, it would be recommended to contact your payroll advisor about the subject matter as soon as possible. Please note that for the sake of application, we advise collaboration between legal and payroll services.
