REQUIREMENT OF WEARING MASK ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION HAS ENDED IN TURKEY
As you may recall from our Newsletter dated 26 April 2022, the Ministry of Health and the Coronavirus Science Committee decided that Covid-19 restrictions and the requirement of wearing masks indoors, except on public transportation and in health institutions were abolished.
As the daily coronavirus cases have decreased below a thousand in recent days and as per request of the Turkish Ministry of Health, a circular which issued by the Ministry of Interior has been sent to governors of 81 provinces of Turkey announcing that requirement to wear mask on public transportation has been ended.
In accordance with the circular, it is no longer mandatory to wear masks on public transportation. However, wearing masks when entering in health institutions is still mandatory.
